By placing an order with BAKEDinherts you agree to all the below terms and conditions. Our terms and conditions are subject to change without notice.

The term ‘BAKEDinherts’ or ‘us’ or ‘we’ or ‘our’ refers to the owner of the website. The term ‘you’ refers to the user of our website.

 

Placing an Order

Contact us via our contact page or email us at bakedinherts@gmail.com to provide us with details of your requirements. Your booking can only be made once you have spoken directly to a member of staff to ensure that we can accommodate your order. You will receive an order form detailing your requirements and the total cost. It is the client’s responsibility to check that all details on the order form are correct and to contact BAKEDinherts as soon as possible should any details be incorrect.

 

Deposits

All wedding cake orders require a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total cost to confirm a booking. All other cake orders require a non-refundable deposit of 25% but not less than £25.00.

Please note that all deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable.

All orders are deemed to have been accepted by BAKEDinherts only when the deposit has been paid.

 

Payment

Payments may be made by:

  • Cash
  • BAC’s payment

Final payments for orders must be made at least 10 days prior to delivery/collection. Final payment for all wedding cakes must be made at least 28 days prior to delivery/collection. In the event of non-payment, the order will not be completed or released, until payment is made in full. We do not accept liability for any loses occurred under such circumstances.

 

Cancellations

Our cakes are made to order therefore we are unable to refund any pre-payments or deposits. Refunds are made at the discretion of BAKEDinherts. By no means will the full amount be refunded. Any charges incurred for materials already purchased are non-refundable and time spent on any decorative pieces for your order will be charged accordingly. Where possible we will try to accommodate rescheduling when given at least 2 weeks’ notice. However, if rescheduling is not possible, this will count as a cancellation and as such the cancellation procedure will be followed.

 

Designs

Your cake is very important to us. Therefore, we will make every effort to ensure that all aspects of the design are adhered to. Due to the nature of our work, we may need to make small alterations whether this be for artistic reasons or to ensure the stability of your cake. Every effort will be made to contact you before such decisions are made and where a price has been agreed, no additional costs will be added to the original price quoted.

Should you wish to make an amendment to your original order, we will do our best to accommodate this. We require a minimum of one week’s notice. Additional charges may apply, depending upon the nature of the changes.

 

Flowers

Once flowers have been arranged, we will liaise with your florist to discuss your requirements. Please note that some treatments used on flowers and some flowers are toxic and it remains your florist responsibility to ensure these are not used on your cake. Ask your florist for details regarding toxicity. We cannot be held liable for any contamination that may arise from their misuse.

 

Non Edible Materials

Any non-edible embellishments such as toppers, flowers, ribbon, lace and/or non-edible hidden supports that are used to support your cake must be removed prior to serving. These items will be identified upon delivery to the recipient of the cake.

 

Delivery

Delivery is free within 10 miles of SG1 for orders over £100. Delivery to locations outside of this, or for orders less than £100, delivery is charged at a rate of 75p per mile for a round trip from SG1 3RB.  Unfortunately, delivery will not be possible beyond a 25 mile radius of SG1. Collection from our business address can also be arranged at an agreed time.  Once collected, the client is fully responsible for the safety of their cake and BAKEDinherts cannot be held liable for any damage that occurs after the cake has left our premises.

It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure BAKEDinherts has been given the correct delivery information, and that someone is available to receive your cake. A signature will be required for the receipt of the order upon delivery. If the recipient is not in, the order will be returned to BAKEDinherts where upon the customer will be responsible for collection. BAKEDinherts accepts no responsibility for any loss or consequential loss incurred as a result. Should severe weather conditions make delivery hazardous or your venue inaccessible, we may be unable to deliver your cake. Under such circumstances, BAKEDinherts cannot be held liable. We recommended you invest in wedding insurance to protect yourself against unforeseeable events such as this.

Delivery of cakes may not be possible in busy periods.

 

Setting Up

Should you require your cake to be delivered, BAKEDinherts will deliver and set up your cake as agreed and will want to ensure it is displayed at its best. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have provided us with the set-up details and arrangements made with the venue for the location and display of your cake. BAKEDinherts cannot be held responsible for the location of the cake at the venue. Please ensure, therefore, that the cake location is level, stable and strong enough to hold the cake.

Please also remember that chocolate-covered cakes can melt in warm conditions such as inside a marquee on a hot summer’s day, or when set up in direct sunlight. Once the cake has been collected or delivered, set up and signed for, BAKEDinherts is unable to accept liability for any interference with or damage to the cake thereafter.

If the cake is to be delivered and set up by BAKEDinherts, a signature will be required from your venue management confirming the cake has been received and set up in good condition. A photograph of the cake will be taken prior to departure by us to verify that the cake has been set up and left in good condition.

 

Allergies

Allergens are indicated below each item on the menu so please check carefully and make your dietary requirements known when ordering. Eggs, gluten, dairy and nuts are regularly used within our kitchen. Though every effort will be made to keep ingredients separate for clients with allergies or intolerances, we cannot guarantee that our products will not contain a trace amount of allergens due to the nature of production.
